This alert is reported by the PhaseCurrentProvider_R12 (PCP) component if both primary and secondary current measurement channels are in saturation state and the debounce counter reaches its limit. If both current measurement channels are saturated, we assume that there is a shorted FET in the bridge. This diagnostic signals it.

Description

This alert is reported by the PhaseCurrentProvider_R12 (PCP) component if both primary and secondary current measurement channels are in saturation state and the debounce counter reaches its limit. If both current measurement channels are saturated, we assume that there is a shorted FET in the bridge. This diagnostic signals it.

Cause

EPAS bridge FET short failure. Primary and secondary current measurement channels are in saturation state for longer than a tolerated time.

Clear condition

EPAS HW failure. EPAS power cycle N times and if persists, the gear needs to be changed.
